Rodent Control - Rat Control

As the rodent population in Yorkshire increases each year so does the potential for the spread of harmful diseases in the home and work environment. Diseases such as salmonella and leptospirosis (Weils Disease) commonly spread to humans via the urine of infected rats when contaminating food or coming into direct contact with skin.

Brown rats grow anywhere up to approximately 26cm in length, excluding their tail which is thick and shorter than the body. A healthy brown rat can weigh up to 500 grams.

Rats are prolific breeders throughout the year with the female capable of producing 5 litters a year consisting usually of 6 - 8 pups.
