Installation Information
Here you will find some useful information about the installation of Aga range cookers.
A Prepared Site
A prepared site is: A base or plinth of the correct height and dimensions to suit your kitchen units and is level.
A suitable power supply (13 amp socket for most models).
A suitable fuel supply (Gas, Oil or 30 amp supply).
A flue, chimney or terminal as required.
All must meet any applicable regulations before the cooker can be commissioned
Dimensions
Minimum clearance around edges
Top: 60 mm clearance above the lids when open.
Side: A 3 mm clearance each side between the top plate and the finished work surfaces.
back: Tiling or splash backs should be behind the top plate do not overlap.
When cooker is in a corner against two walls 120 mm clearance is required at the right hand side for oven doors to open fully and 120 mm clearance on left hand side for fuel connection.
If installed in a recess or fire place the side clearance of the top plate should be increased to 15 mm to allow for misshaped walls.
Base or plinth should be:
The correct height and dimensions to suit your kitchen units.
Be level and capable of supporting the weight of the cooker.
Be made of non-combustible material.
The wall behind the cooker must be non-combustible material of a minimum thickness of 25mm.
