Project 4 Completed – Scalby School, Scarborough
We at H. Pickup Mechanical & Electrical are proud to announce the successful completion of the LV distribution upgrade at Scalby School in Scarborough.
This comprehensive project included:
- Installation of new substation wiring in coordination with the electricity board
- New switchgear and busbar chambers
- Laying of 4 x 240mm 4-core armoured cables over approximately 120 metres
- Partnership with Northern Powergrid for the installation of a new on-site transformer
These upgrades were essential to support the installation of temporary portacabins, allowing the school to continue operating while RAAC (Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) roofing works are carried out. This ensured minimal disruption to staff and pupils, enabling education to continue smoothly.
