RNLI Lifeboat Station, Scarborough
At H. Pickup Mechanical & Electrical, we are proud to announce the successful completion of the brand-new, state-of-the-art RNLI Lifeboat Station in Scarborough.
This modern facility will house the new lifeboat and launch tractor, along with purpose-built offices and support areas—enhancing operational efficiency for the RNLI team.
Mechanical Works:
- Installation of a completely new plant room and heating system
- Full provision of hot and cold-water services throughout the building
Electrical Works:
- Installation of energy-efficient lighting and small power systems for the garage and office areas
- Battery backup systems for added resilience
- Dedicated 110V system to support workshop and mechanical operations
- New FM antenna installation
- Secure door entry systems to ensure site safety
- Comprehensive fire alarm system, including VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) for advanced smoke detection
